What are Interactive videos?

Interactive videos are multimedia presentations that engage users by asking for action. Using interactive videos allow students to access information with prompted stops to check for understanding and to gather assessment. This also lets students go back to review more difficult content and to work at their own pace.

How can I be creative with interactive videos?

Instructors or individuals creating video content can be very creative with interactive videos by manipulating content and designing assessments specifically. Video images and sounds can be created, edited, compiled, or changed with the use of many different tools. Additional content and supplemental information can be

inserted into the video as well.

Interactive videos can also be a creative outlet for the user. They can experience and access information through the use of multimedia and customize the experience to their learning needs. They are able to absorb information at their own speed, rewatch or skip through parts of the video, and often provide original answers.

Tips

- Set objectives and design interactions to meet them

- Keep questions relevant and answers brief

- Make sure videos can be paused and repeated
